i found the script well written, the actors were well casted, the man looked the part of someone at this witts end and ready to jump.
the lady seemed, well exactly that a refined someone whom one would never cut in front of. a beauty that would captivate your thoughts and i feel the ending did exactly that, made you think of where she went, did she jump, did she not, was she ever even there to begin with.
musical accompaniment was perfectly matched to the emotive levels of the film and although slightly short, a dramatic success

I have to say that - even though we have an entry in the competition also - it would be criminal if this piece wasn't recognised. Well written, well observed, and subtly handled. It's not perfect but it is a stunning bit of storytelling, effortlessly delivered.
I am seriously impressed.

This is a wonderful piece of work. it is well written and emotionally engaging. The direction is solid and confident, the acting has credibility and the cinamatography is thoughtful. A dramatically accomplished short from a group who understand storytelling.
I have noticed that the ratings here are all for the busy, loud hack and slash movies or for the "funnies", so I don't expect the masses to go for this. I however would say that, with one other exception and for a different reason, this is the standout movie of those I have seen so far.
Very well done indeed.

Lovely and beautifully shot and cast. Felt sound could have been slightly better - music much louder than the dialogue. But perfectly matched score.

Haha Ben, I almost didnt recognise you acting all serious. Where are the flying kicks, roundhouse and uppercut. Jokes aside this is a great lil short well acted and shot. Great sound design and composing to boot. Great job guys.

Maybe some of the comments above about it being THE standout movie are a bit too generous, but I'd agree that it's ONE OF the standout movies, particularly in terms of drama and acting. (Well done to the actors - I'd've felt nervous standing so close to the edge!!)

A wonderful little short. Poetic scenery, solid acting and a touching score. Sound mixing was perhaps a little off, and personally I would have enjoyed more conversation between the two... but then again, the abrupt sweetness of it makes it so engaging. Well done, probably the best short (pound for pound) I've seen on here so far.

Report this commentStunning. It's close to perfect. Shots, performances, timing. The ending is a heartbreaking. If I could change anything I'd make the end credits more simple so that they'd fit with the mood of the film. That's a minor point however. This is inspired.

Yes the end credits jar a little bit. They seem incongruous. Very watchable piece though. It lacks a sligh punch at the end. It's amost too abrupt.An extra few seconds of the camera on him speaking before she disappears maybe?
the cinematography is beautiful and for it's length, very effective on the whole

Report this commentI think this was a great peice. Love the tenderness depth of the actors and i think it was well shot.
I dont think 'filmbuff' above knows what he is talking about, i think the man was deep in thought about the predicament he was in. Clearly not a 'filmbuff' to make such an amateur comment.
'Ed' Says he liked it even though its agains ta friends... I hope Ed knows its ok to like more than one film! But his comments show whata great job you guys did.
All round i liked it. Just a shame it was only two mins, would love to see more of them. Good luck with the comp.. i do hope you make final 12 if not win it out right !
