Excellent! This will make the shortlist. But you should have had credits at the end. It looked like a film plenty of people worked on. Surely you could have sacrificed a few seconds to pay homage to those who helped you out.

Perfectly made. This is the best and most professional looking film I've seen on here. The special effects are perfect and not over done like some entries and the story is simple yet entertaining. A total winner. The only way I see this not at least being in the top 12 is if people give it a low vote just to help their film out. Great work guys.

Great little short. A good idea, funny and well executed.

bigbrother68 makes a good point. A lot of the films in this competition have been made by people with no money and no crew, just a camera and their imagination. If you have a production company or are in the industry already, go out there and make a feature already!

I'd have to agree with the above comments. does look very professional. I would hate to see the competition be won by someone who already has a foot in the door as they say. however you should include a profile, because maybe you have been doing this for a long time, but are still 'undiscovered' who knows? Was a clever short, the ending could have been alot better with the plot so thoughtfully created.

Fantastic proffessional film that is in the time limit and can easily get a PG rating which is required to enter this competition. I think this film will make the top 12 no problem. I am amazed you are willing to sign all your rights away to Virgin for such a great film. You must really need the exposure.

this looks incredibly well made which gives me the feeling you have achieved quite alot already. i could be wrong, but with no credits, no profile, no background it seems a bit one sided. the piece was amazing, we know ourselves when we're given opportunities like this greed take over so that is a powerful message.
You can clearly see its made by professionals, but maybe I've got the wrong end of the stick. explain yourselves. You put alot of effort into the film itself, but no effort into thanking anyone for it.

very polished effort short sharp and enjoyable but have to agree with other viewers that this has the look of a professional job wich is a little unfair on true amateur movie makers looking for a break. check out stolen moments made on a shoestring in a cuople of days, thats what i thought this comp was all about.

"ateday" you thought wrong, this competition is for anybody over 16. End of story.
I don't know anything about Phil and Olly but I know I haven't heard of them so in that sense they are undiscovered to me. I'd also like to point out that a successful professional would be foolish to enter this competition because the film makers have to sign away the rights to their films for nothing more than a bit of exposure. Hence there is no money in it for them and after winning the competition they will have a hard time selling their film to anyone. My point being anyone entering a film must feel they have nothing to loose and feel they need some exposure to help boost their budding career. Believe it or not there are a lot of professionals out there who struggle to put food on the table. Don't kid yourself into thinking it's easy.

As for the film I thought it was fantastic, probably one of the best on this site. The acting is especially good.

I liked this short. dash of originality, essence of mystery/unknown, and a pinch of genius, i think everything in this film works.
only problem I have is I would have liked to have known more about 'Phil and Olly'. I always want to learn from great inspiration so would have been nice to see a profile, and some response to the feedback you have received so far. The film itself is incredible.
No doubt you have reached the longlist already, and this must be a contender for the final 12. wish you all the best you have my vote

"evil eye"read your response to my comments with interest and amusement,so undiscovered means you personally are not aware of them?that is a staggering claim you obviously hadn't thought through.secondly i never mentioned anything about making this type of movie being easy i'm well aware of the difficulties involved and i have the upmost respect for all entrants.you finish your review with praise as though you where contradicting my opinion of the piece but if you weren't so eager to leap to your friends defence you might have noticed i was also very complimentary in my review i was simply making the point that high production values give a distinct advantage and most amateurs are not able to compete as they do not have the same access to finance or equipment and instead have to rely on technique and imagination i still believe my comments where fair and your little rant was totally unwarranted ,you tit.

Great film, I hope the fact that a Snickers Bar features in the film doesn't disqualify it. Maybe they can blur out the wrapper, or maybe you have permission from Snickers. If it gets through I think it certainly deserves to win.

"ateday", this is proof that the written word can be easily misinterpreted. I never said you didn't like the film. I simply expressed my view of the film after my "Rant" because I hadn't talked about the film in my "Rant". I in no way thought you disliked this film. You'll also notice that I said that Phil and Olly were undiscovered to ME. Not that they were undiscovered because I hadn't heard of them. Have you heard of them? How well known do you have to be to be described as discovered?

I also believe you misunderstood my comment about it not being easy. I was NOT referring to film making I was referring to Finding Work as a film maker. As I'm sure you're aware, even if you manage to make a successful film it doesn't mean you're going to get more work.

Do you think someone who fancies a go at film making deserves the publicity of winning this competition more than someone who has been working hard at it for years? I may be wrong but you and probably a few others seem to feel that this film has an unfair advantage because it LOOKS like it was shot with expensive kit. There are a few polished expensive looking films on here but I think you’ll agree not all of them are good. In the end I don’t think it matters what resources you have, if a filmmaker / amateur spends the time working out their story and how to tell it properly then their talent will shine through.

I have to say the name-calling at the end of your last comment is uncalled for. But hey if it makes you feel better call me what ever you like.

PS I hadn’t noticed the Snickers Bar wrapper before Troy02 mentioned it. I hope it doesn’t cause any issues.
