About moog

975
Moog was born in Brighton at the age of 3. Raised by a travelling troup of wayward circus performers he learnt the subtle art of cheese molding. This however got far too boring and smelly, so he started making short films and music videos instead. He'd like for someone to give him lots of money to make all the ideas wot are clogging up his brain.

That is really eerie that we both uploaded "Tea Films" at the same time. Great film.

    ITS A CRIMP!!
As much as the Mighty Boosh got there before you, it's very good, and worthy of the Boosh themselves.

Crimp?? I would sat that it isn't Dymond.
As a huge Mighty Boosh fan, I would state that a crimp is an a-capellea non-sensical blast of sound and rythm.

Would you not say this is rap? It has music, it has decent, clever lyrics and makes some sort of (slightly twisted) sense.

I love it too. I want it on my cinema screen please :)

:oD I thought exactly the same thing about your film as it flew past mine in the chart: I wanted to dislike it - but I couldn't! Great tune, great lyrics and great video - love the performances (especially the main guy) and the attention to detail with the costumes and sets. Good work!

Thanks for all your lovely words so far :)

If anyone here hasn't checked out Anthony's movies yes - GO NOW! ahh - isn't is all lovely that we can be civil about all this, rather that the gutter sniping that I know is going on in other camps. Huurah for the good guys :)

Fles, there are no official lyrics on line, but someone has had a good go at them here...

Top film Moog! Very distinctive rap. Decent melding of British Colonialism and urban hip hop. Impressive acting too. Actually, the guy really looks like he's on 80 cups a day. Have watched it three times already! Jolly good show!

    Hmm. Interesting point gref.
While it may not be a narative film, it is a film nonetheless. It has been created using a video camera with use of images to describe a story of sorts (along with the music) by someone who has made clear use of film techniques.

My personal philosophy is yes. Music video can easily fall into the category of short film.

A more important question might be, would I like to see this before a movie at my local cinema, My answer... Ohhhh most certainly yes!!! :)

Haha! Yeah, you're right mate. Thanks for commenting back. We actually had a two-shot, and some more variety of shots, but on the day we had horrendous problems with sound, so in the end most of the shots had to be scrapped (they wouldn't sync with the clear dialogue). Even our finished piece needed lots of little cheeky editing tricks to cover the sound disasters! C'est la vie...
